Life "ain't" easy being single, but one woman wears her war-scars well. When you're riding solo and raising a brood of eight kids, life should be handled with care, even if the household is minus a man.
Kate Gosselin sat down in an interview with E! ahead of her "Kate Plus 8" season premiere, and dished on life after Jon Gosselin.
Surprisingly, the woman who took her kids camping on "Sarah Palin's Alaska" and on an Australian adventure, is poised and still "in charge" of things on the home front.
When queried about how it feels like not having a man in the home while she's raising children, Gosselin said she's "always been in charge," so that's one thing that did not require getting accustomed to.
"It feels normal to me now. I don't know when that point hit, but it does feel normal...There was an adjustment period, for sure, but I have always been in charge of running the household"—oh, burn!—"so that's no different."
However, Kate Gosselin and dating is another thing altogether. She was recently seen out an about in New York celebrating her birthday with an unnamed male, who escorted her to dinner and accompanied her along in a limo tour of the city.
She said that the dating thing is a bit awkward, but she is intent on taking tiny steps, as life is starkly different from when she was carefree in her twenties. Duh, Kate; perhaps a litter of 8 kids has something to do with the change of venue?
Kate Gosselin and dating for the "Plus 8" star is just another thing that she controls, and holds the key to.
The good news is that she is still intent on living life to the fullest, and is not allowing the divorce from Jon Gosselin to derail her ambitions.
