Actress Natalie Portman's newest movie, the 'stoner comedy' Your Highness, hits theaters this week. On that note, it was inevitable that someone would ask Portman whether she's actually smoked marijuana. The answer is "yes," but not in a long time - and certainly not now. In an interview a few months back, Portman was pretty honest about her past partying ways, which she said did include occasionally smoking pot. The current "it" girl in Hollywood has apparently grown up, however, and moved on.
Natalie Portman tells Entertainment Weekly, "I love stoner comedies. I smoked weed in college, but I havenÂ’t smoked in years." She says she feels "too old" to do that stuff now. Keep in mind, Portman made these statements to EW in December of 2010 - before news broke about her pregnancy - so no mention of the dangers of smoking pot while pregnant. No doubt if she gave the interview now, she'd mention that issue.
Natalie Portman's latest movie, Your Highness, opens on Friday. The film also stars James Franco, Danny McBride and Zooey Deschanel.
