Drea de Matteo welcomes a baby boy with fiancé Shooter Jennings into the celebrity world. Matteo decided to go with a gambling theme and name the baby Waylon Albert “Blackjack” Jennings.
Back in December, de Matteo and her fiancé announced that they were expecting their second baby. Little Jennings has an older, 3-year-old sister named Alabama Gypsy Rose. Apparently Drea de Matteo likes to be creative with her children’s names.
Hopefully, her little darlings will love their unique names as much as the former The Sopranos star does. De Matteo played Adriana on the hit HBO show, and she also had a guest appearance on Desperate Housewives. Daddy Jennings has been working diligently with his band Hierophant. HmmÂ… maybe those unusual names come from Shooter Jennings, as opposed to Drea after all.
Jennings is the son of famous country and western singer Waylon Jennings, which is who the baby boy is named after. Drea de Matteo and Jennings have been together for nine years and have been engaged for almost two years. When in the world will Shooter marry Drea? Or maybe he doesnÂ’t need to since they already have a couple tikes together.
Jennings took to Twitter to announce the birth of the their baby boy in Los Angeles. He Tweeted, “Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' Jennings has arrived folks!” Later he Tweeted, “Thanks for all the kind words folks! We're super lucky to have so many kind friends!”
Congratulations to the happy couple, and may they enjoy many more years of love and laughter together with their two precious children.
