Michelle Obama Agrees To Gayle King Interview Despite Bitter Feud With Oprah

First Lady Michelle Obama will appear on The Gayle King Show on April 19.  Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill Biden will sit down with King to discuss the Joining Forces Initiative--their military family support campaign.  This will be the first appearance on the show for both women.  Also appearing on the same show will be Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan, Bret Michaels, and Naomi and Wynonna Judd.

The following week on May 2, both Obamas will do a joint interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show.  It will be the first couple's first interview with Oprah since 2006.  And that's where and how the plot begins to thicken.  Inside sources say that Michelle Obama despises Oprah Winfrey and hopes that her "nemesis...bombs when she launches her OWN network." 

"Michelle hates Oprah,” claimed an insider. "She’s hoping she’ll come crashing down to earth with her latest venture.”

Strong words.  And strong sentiments if they are true.  The Obamas are also said to be "furious that they haven’t been invited to Prince William’s April 29 wedding to fiancée Kate Middleton.  (They) believe the snub to be a deliberate insult to America!"  Wow.  While it's interesting to hear that people in high places can react to snubs with petty jealousy and resentment just like everybody else, it would be far more interesting to know what the royal wedding has to do with Michelle Obama's hatred for Oprah.  Surely, she doesn't believe that Oprah could possibly dictate or in any way influence the British royal family's guest list.  And even if she could, why would she bother? 

Whatever her reason, rumor has it that Michelle Obama "intends to settle the score” with Oprah one way or another.   Oh well, if all this is true, things should be pretty darn tense around the set of The Gayle King Show.
