Demi Lovato recently revealed on Twitter her new lighter locks for summer and she looks as fresh as ever, as she continues her road out of rehab and into recovery. But, even more significant than this outer transformation, she's also shared her ultimate music play list that helps her cope.
Not only will many of her legions of Twitter followers probably follow her hair lead and get the new "Demi" brunette 'do, but they'll also be updating their iPods with her personal play list of songs that have helped her in her recovery process.
Lovato confessed, "Music has always been a huge part of my life and has helped me through some tough times. Certain songs always give me confidence, put me in a good mood, and inspire me."
Indeed, music really can be an effective medium for stress relief, inspiration and motivation. Some of Demi Lovato's picks that keep her positive and strong include "We All Need Saving" by Jon McLaughlin, "Not Afraid" by Eminem, "Word of God Speak" by MercyMe, "A Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke, "Strong Enough" by Stacie Orrico and "Surrender" by BarlowGirl.
A little unexpected? Maybe. But, it's a good mix of secular and contemporary Christian songs. And, the common thread is that all are about conquering struggles, having faith and being fearless in the face of whatever obstacle one is facing.
Demi Lovato continues to be an inspiration for others who may be facing similar issues, and it's great that she's shared something as personal as the tunes she turns to for reassurance.
