Kate Middleton, or more formally known as the Duchess of Cambridge, stepped out the day after her wedding in a beautiful pair of L.K. Bennett patent leather wedges. The shoes induced such a frenzy that even Prince Harry's squeeze, Chelsy Davy, was seen shopping for a pair the very next day.
The wedges, part of L.K. Bennett's Spring 2010 line (was Kate really wearing last season's heels?), have already sold out, but sources say they will be reissued in June both online and in store. The shoes, which cost £165 (or $270), will be available in black (as seen on the Duchess), red, and blue. The snatching up of the royal shoes shows that Kate has sealed her place next to Princess Diana before her as a fashion icon. Women all over the world will continue to take inspiration from her wardrobe for the next several years.
L.K. Bennett is a high-end London-based retailer, specializing in women's clothing and shoes.
