NeNe Leakes Calls 'Celebrity Apprentice' Toxic

NeNe Leakes was the first contestant in the history of Celebrity Apprentice to walk off the show. Now she is reflecting on her time there, and calls Celebrity Apprentice 'toxic.'

According to a report from People Magazine, NeNe says there have been no second thoughts regarding her decision to quit Celebrity Apprentice.

"I don't regret it. I felt very good about it. I always do what my gut tells me to do," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star says.

NeNe Leakes continues, however, by explaining how toxicity and her life simply don't mesh.

"I'm a grown woman, and nobody makes decisions for me. I make my own decisions. It was a toxic situation for me."

Donald Trump dissed NeNe Leakes on air, calling her a 'loser' for having quit the show, however when one observed what certainly could be considered toxicity on the part of now former contestant Star Jones, one can certainly fathom why she called it quits.

Quitting is almost never the best option in most situations, unless of course one's well-being comes into play. The head games that Star Jones played could certainly wreak emotional havoc on anyone within arm's length of that woman's path. NeNe Leakes may have quit to save her own sanity.

Regardless of the hows and whys of her departure from Celebrity Apprentice, one must give NeNe Leakes credit for recognizing a situation that was indeed toxic for her, and for doing what was needed to ease that toxicity. Hopefully she is free from the stress she endured and is living her life sans the insanity that encompasses the contestants on Celebrity Apprentice. Face it. Not everyone is cut out to endure that kind of competition.
