Grease star, Jeff Conaway has been languishing, comatose, in a Los Angeles hospital for the past week, reportedly suffering from a particularly nasty overdose. Unsurprisingly, Dr. Drew Pinsky has come forward to set the record straight. According to the celebrity addiction specialist, the Taxi alum is not moribund, nor did he O.D. 
"Just visited Jeff Conaway," the ever-vigilant Dr. Drew tweeted yesterday. "He is stable & looks like he will recover from his pneumonia. Not an OD like press is alleging & certainly not dead. Pneumonia with supsis. No evidence of intentional OD." The good doctor added that Conaway's "coma" was a medically induced one and that he was on a "Propafol drip."
Jeff Conaway was one of the drug-addicted celebrities who participated in Dr. Drew Pinsky's popular VH1 reality show, Celebrity Rehab in 2008. The 60-year-old actor was found unconscious in his home by his manager on May 11 and has been hospitalized in critical condition ever since.
Best wishes to Jeff Conaway on his speedy recovery from pneumonia. Hopefully, he'll get himself together someday. And thanks to Dr. Drew Pinsky for being... Dr. Drew Pinsky. Apparently there really is an upside to everything.
