It seems as though Amy Winehouse is soon to be singing a new tune, perhaps something like, "They tried to make me go to rehab, and I said, 'yes, yes, yes'."
The 27-year-old singer, famous for her booze-fueled (and speculated drug-fueled) antics and lyrics, has reportedly checked into the Priory Clinic for treatment for her longtime substance abuse issues.
As to who motivated the change of heart and prompted her to seek treatment, it was the songstress's father, Mitch Winehouse.
According to a source close to the Winehouse family, "Her dad sat her down and said 'I think you're drinking too much again,' so she agreed to have an assessment to stop it becoming a bigger problem."
Sounds like a sign of an emotionally healthy person, for whom rehab could be a quick jaunt, right? Think again. En route to check in, Amy Winehouse apparently downed a small bottle of Smirnoff Vodka. Apparently she hasn't changed that much! At least she wasn't driving?
Best luck to the star as she embarks on this journey. Hopefully she'll emerge clean and sober, and be able to stick with it!
