Kim Kardashian has not commented about Reese Witherspoon's subtle put down of Hollywood's young starlets during Witherspoon's acceptance speech at last night's MTV Movie Awards. However, Kardashian's body language in the below video certainly suggests that she had at least heard about the content of Witherspoon's message.
The notable portion of Witherspoon's speech is as follows: "I know it's cool to be bad, I get it ... but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show. When I came up in this business you made a sex tape and you were embarrassed and hid it under your bed and like if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hid your face."
For some, Reese's speech was a breath of fresh air to counteract the childish antics of the Kardashians, Britney Spears, Blake Livelys and Lindsay Lohans, etc. of young Hollywood, while for others it was a bit too much soapbox preaching. Witherspoon was accepting a MTV Generation Award, and also used the podium to poke hilarious jabs at Chelsea Handler and Robert Pattinson. Witherspoon's tone was admittedly tongue-in-cheek, but the motivation behind her words was clear: young females coming up in the business do not have to behave like porn stars in order to succeed.
