Britney Spears is, according to British reports, "secretly" engaged to marry her longtime boyfriend (and former manager) Jason Trawick. Speculation about whether Brit plans to get hitched has been running rampant for weeks, months even - but now, it seems it may actually happen. This will be Spears' third marriage, and hopefully she'll finally be happy.
The British tabloid The Sun claims that Jason Trawick proposed to Britney Spears "by writing a romantic poem and filling the ground floor of their Los Angeles mansion with candles and roses." Romantic, indeed! Very much so. After two failed, disastrous marriages, it's time for Ms. Spears to enjoy a healthy, solid relationship with a (seemingly) healthy, solid person. The paper also quotes a source as saying that Britney is "desperate to settle down again and have more children," but "didn't want to start a family with Jason until they'd tied the knot." Nice! That's a nice, normal, totally not crazy approach - and just what Brit needs to be doing. She's got a massive comeback launch going on and a major new tour about to start. Hopefully this man will help to keep her grounded.
So, when is Britney Spears going to march down the aisle with Jason Trawick? The exact date isn't clear, but the couple are said to be planning "a low-key wedding in Hawaii" sometime after Britney finishes up her Femme Fatale world tour. If all of this is true and she really is getting married, congratulations are definitely in order. But keep in mind, these kinds of reports should be taken with a grain of salt - until the news comes from Spears herself, don't go expecting any "Save the Date" cards, okay?
