In honor of Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, Prince William rode through central London on horseback on Saturday. The Prince and Kate Middleton are back in the city to attend the annual celebration.
While the Queen actually turned 85 in April, the annual "Trooping the Colour" which marks the celebration was scheduled for June. The newlywed Prince William appeared wearing the same red Irish Guards tunic with a blue sash that he wore as he said his vows to Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey on April 29.
As her husband rode on horseback, Kate Middleton rode down the Mall in a horse-drawn carriage. This weekend has been incredibly busy for the newlyweds. At least they had several weeks to rest and relax together before such a hectic, public event. The people of London were probably quite thrilled to see them this weekend, though, at all the many events celebrating the Queen and Prince Philip's birthdays.
