Amber Portwood's suicide attempt has now been confirmed. It was reported on Tuesday that Amber Portwood tried to commit suicide, and now confirmation has come out of Indiana that the attempt did in fact occur.
Radar Online has confirmed that Portwood did indeed try to commit suicide on the morning of Tuesday, June 14. In possession of an Anderson, Indiana, police report, the website stated:
Late this morning (11:34 a.m.), Anderson Police responded to a call at a residence in the 1300 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive. According to the caller, 21-year-old Amber L. Portwood was depressed and threatening to end her life. The victim, who did not appear to be injured, was transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation.
This is sad news that she had decided to try and take her own life, especially with a child that needs to be cared for. It is very apparent now, though, that she needs far more help than people had realized, and this is a huge cry for help that she needs to be in a center. As of this report, she was still at St. Johns Hospital under evaluation, hopefully finding the help that she is crying out to receive.
Maybe this should serve as yet another lesson that the MTV show Teen Mom isn't giving the mark of celebrity to those that are ready to receive it.
