Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert got married last month, and Blake is "the happiest [he's] ever been,"—once the nightmare Mexican honeymoon was finally over. Blake and Miranda spent their first couple of married nights at their ranch in Oklahoma, but then they slipped away across the border—and a little further south—to stay at Reba McEntire's place in Cancun, Mexico. "We got drunk, we ate too much," reveals Blake Shelton to E! Online.
The pair also got seasick and sunburned. And need you ask? Blake, at least, admitted "I drank the water." Yes, he came down with the dreaded Montezuma's Revenge. "We did everything you're supposed to do in Mexico," Shelton says
. And more, too, obviously. Hey, Miranda Lambert. They have lots of safe bottled water in Mexico these days. And sunscreen is available in the tiniest puebla. And most tourists know—or learn fast—about the cheap tequila. All these tourist woes can be avoided. But hey, it was their honeymoon, right?
A honeymoon is a good time for kicking back and letting loose—hopefully short of ruining the whole thing by getting sick. Still, what better test of a marriage than seeing your new mate through "for better, for worse" both in the same week? Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have been together for a few years now, so they most likely weathered it in style.
Shelton, for one, feels like a winner. His "Honeybee" is number one, he has his "dream job" as a host on The Voice, and-- "I got Miranda Lambert!" he says. Fans wish them well.
