Zac Hartwell, a friend of Jackass star Ryan Dunn and a minor actor in several films has been identified as the mystery passenger in the death crash of Dunn's Porsche early Monday morning near Philadelphia.
Police were at first unable to ID the remains of the passenger because of the injuries sustained in the horrific wreck. Reports indicated the body was too burned to positively identify. But some web news hounds have come up with Hartwell's name and it seems to have been confirmed on Bam Margera's Facebook page.
Margera is a Jackass co-star and long-time friend of Dunn's. His rock group, CKY, is the unofficial house band for the show and the group has benefited mightily from the association.
Initially, Dunn's death was met with the usual words of condolences from fans all over the web. But as the day goes on, and more details emerge, there is an outpouring of outrage over the accident.
Many are speculating that Dunn was drunk and driving too fast on the Pennsylvania back road. The resultant fiery crash seems to bear out that theory. Perhaps Dunn was a victim of his own success and was killed performing what he thought was another of his celebrated stunts.
It's a shame that an innocent person was along for the last ride.

The last sentence, its a shame if had to take and innocent person along for the ride. Tell me what is innocent about a 30 and 34 year old making bad choices, we are responsible for our own! Im just tired of reading all this, you have two dear friends who made bad choices and they are no longer with us, cant we just let the families, friends and fans mourn and remember them for all their good!
Where i live a man was mad at his wife, so he took gasoline dumped it thru out the house tied his 2 year old daughter to himself and set the house on fire...killing them both! That little girl didnt have a choice..she was innocent. So, let it go with the whole blame game, cause they had choices! I am a firm believer that when something tragic like this happens..again it happens everyday, that first off..the people are loved still, they have families, friends and some great memories. But if someone makes a bad choice, thats just what it is a bad choice, no blaming just saddened and memories! Let it go please! I am responible for myself, i have choices and if i chose to drink and drive ..or get in a car that someones been drinking..guess what..it is my choice and the outcome in my life weighs upon me! Ryan Dunn & Zac Hartwell will be greatly missed and I personally will keep laughing at the movies! My prayers and thoughts go out to their families and friends and for us fans, true fans we wont let your memory die, you have us alot memories and touched so many!
I have always taught my kids to be aware of your driver when getting into others vehicles. Hartwell made a choice as did Dunn, and neither were right. But that does not take away from the people they were, the ones they leave behind and tragedy that surrounds this entire thing. May thye RIP. Forever a fan.
