Apparently, Rielle Hunter had begged her lover John Edwards to quit the 2008 presidential race once their illicit affair was revealed but power-hungry Edwards wouldn't. 
In retrospect, John probably should have. Oh well, what's done is done and at least Hunter and Edwards can enjoy their miserable cheating lives together, at least until John has to be shipped off to the big house.
The latest tidbit comes courtesy of Rielle's sister, Melissa Druck. Druck to the National Enquirer, "Rielle tried to talk John out of running for president, but he wouldn't listen. She thought it was a bad idea that he continue to campaign for presÂident and she told him so. Rielle told John that he was an 'idiot' for still wanting to run. Had he listened to my sister, he might not be facing 30 years in jail right now. I don't believe a single thing that comes out of John Edwards' mouth"
Uh, that's hilarious because Druck must be drunk if she believes the lies that swarm forth from Hunter's mouth. Perhaps John Edwards wouldn't be facing 30 years if he had kept his man-junk in his pants where it belonged. Perhaps John wouldn't be in all this trouble if he hadn't taken campaign money and tried to cover up his affair.
Well, there are so many reasons why Edwards is in trouble and all those reasons are linked with Rielle Hunter. In the end, it takes a homewrecker to know a homewrecker. These two are truly two peas in a messed up pod.
