Cameron Diaz Goes Art Shopping With A-Rod

Cameron Diaz and New York Yankees player A-Rod--aka Alex Rodriguez--were spotted shopping for art to fill his mansion. Do either the Bad Teacher actress or the baseball player know anything about art?

According to PerezHilton.com, A-Rod's Florida mansion is under construction, and no, it didn't really appear as though either of them knew what they were looking for. They were, however, asked for dozens of autographs at one art show, so they left--only to return later for a private tour with the curators.

It doesn't appear as though Cameron Diaz and A-Rod actually wound up purchasing any art. A-Rod's eyes did linger at the sports memorabilia collection, though. And to a New York Yankees player, that probably counts as art--right?

Do you find the combination of Cameron Diaz, A-Rod and art to be almost humorous? Neither of them seem like the artsy type. One would likely assume they'd simply hire a decorator to procure a few well-chosen pieces for the new digs. Maybe the art hunt was more of a way to kill time on a Sunday afternoon than a show of true appreciation for art.

Either way, Cameron Diaz and A-Rod do appear very much together, despite frequent rumors that have them split apart. And hunting for art together--well, isn't that almost as domestic as picking out the linens and the china?
