Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is furious that the media has not attempted to contact her before writing about her or her film Heroine. However, she has no comment when it comes to the recent rumors that she went to a Thai IVF clinic in hopes of conceiving a son.
The actress has seen story after story appear about her latest project, Heroine, which has been shelved due to her recently announced pregnancy. None of these stories have included any comment from Aishwarya, her secretary, or her family. She's said to be so angry over the back-and-forth coverage that she's drafting a statement for the press to clear up all the facts.
Aishwarya Rai's statement will also address her pregnancy and her now-strained relationship with Heroine director Madhur Bhandarkar.
It will remain to be seen if she chooses to address the rather scandalous fertility clinic rumor that's been making the rounds this week. Bhairavi Goswami claimed in a Facebook post that Aishwarya Rai had visited a Bangkok IVF clinic in order to make sure she had a son, and blamed the Bachchan family of having a "typical UP (Uttar Pradesh) mentality" when it came to the preference for male children.
It's not likely that Aishwarya (or any member of the Bachchan family) will ever stoop to answer questions about the rumor. If Aishwarya is known for anything, it's her class--we'll probably never know if there's any truth to the scandal.
