Kate Hudson has given birth to another baby boy!
Her new bundle of joy was born on Saturday, joining his 7-year-old half-brother Ryder as a member of Kate's rockin' family -- Ryder's father was Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson, and her new son's happy dad is Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy.
Kate's pregnancy announcement came as quite a surprise to her fans, and the actress later admitted that it was unplanned. She and Matt got engaged a few months after she got knocked up, so she'll join Natalie Portman as a new mom trying to get in shape to walk down the aisle. Portman recently gave birth to her son Aleph, and news of her pregnancy and engagement to her "Black Swan" costar Benjamin Millepied also came as quite a shock a few months ago.
There's no word on the name of Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy's baby boy yet, but she'll surely come up with something cool and unique again (it will be hard to beat Natalie's name, however). It also helps that the tot has a creative, musical dad.
Kate Hudson's son is just the latest addition in a major celebrity baby boom of 2011, so celebrities should soon be busy planning playdates. A few other celebrities with new babies this year are Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Christina Applegate and Martyn Lenoble, Pink and Carey Hart, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, and Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany. Kate Hudson's pal Rachel Zoe, who helped throw her baby shower, also recently welcomed a baby boy named Skyler. And of course there are plenty more mothers expecting arrivals soon, like Selma Blair, Jewel, and Victoria Beckham.
So with Kate Hudson and so many other celebrities welcoming babies in 2011, it looks like Hollywood will see a real brat pack invasion.
