Countess LuAnn De Lesseps has made a name for herself on The Real Housewives of New York. With her books on class and etiquette and her songs Money Can't Buy You Class and Chic C'est La Vie, the Countess has set a standard for herself.
In recent news, the Hollywood Life website reported that the cast members of the show have verbally attacked the Countess because of her mixed messages and outrageous behavior. On the show, the Countess often talks about having class and behaving like a lady, but recent events and personal decisions has made the cast mates turn against LuAnn.
The main issue at play is her music career, especially the message she is sending with her choice of lyrics and music videos. Simon van Kempen and Alex McCord have been quite vocal on The Real Housewives of New York and Twitter about LuAnn's behavior about money and class. In addition, Ramona's recent announcement to not be in the music video was not taken well by the Countess.
This is not the first time the Countess has been under attack from cast members. In the third season première of The Real Housewives of New York, Ramona's husband, Mario, made the comment about LuAnn being count-less as she was going through her divorce. Although the comment was meant to be a joke, the Countess carried a grudge throughout much of the season and put herself in another class—a higher class than the rest of the cast members.
So does Countess LuAnn De Lesseps deserve these attacks from other The Real Housewives of New York cast members? Is she a hypocrite or just enjoying the spotlight?
