Lamar Odom was in a car accident last Thursday that has left one person dead. More details are emerging in what is an absolutely devastating accident, and the NBA star is reportedly very upset about it.
According to TMZ, Odom hired a driver while he was in New York City for a funeral. His driver got in an accident with a motorcycle - which then flew upon impact and hit a pedestrian. That pedestrian was a 15-year-old boy who died from his injuries.
This is very sad news. It was almost a freak accident because the person who died was just a passerby, not someone in the actual car (or on the motorcycle). Odom must be distraught over this, and it wouldn't be surprising if he did something special for the teen's family. Even though Odom wasn't driving, it's still a very traumatic experience.
"Thank you for your support and prayers," he wrote on Twitter earlier today.
Some media outlets initially reported that Odom's wife, Khloe Kardashian, was in the car with him, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
