Kristin Cavallari's Engagement Called Off — But Why?

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's engagement has been called off. But why couldn't the couple make it down the aisle?

While it might seem like the reality show star with a televised history of flings is the one that got cold feet; it turns out that Kristin was actually dumped by her cute quarterback fiancé. Cavallari might seem like quite a catch for an NFL star, but perhaps her high-profile life scared him off. Earlier this month, Jay Cutler watched her strut down the catwalk in a glass bikini at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami, so perhaps the sports star decided he felt out-of-place in Kristin's world after attending the event.

It's really hard to say why the engagement has been called off, especially since the couple seemed to be doing fine up to this point (their wedding registry was even revealed last week). Kristin Cavallari is reportedly devastated and shocked after being dumped by her fiancé.

Perhaps Jay Cutler was scared away by the media circus that Kim Kardashian's wedding has caused, or maybe he's afraid that he'll get talked into starring in a reality show with Kristin after walking down the aisle with her. After all, plenty of athletes have found themselves on TV after dating/marrying reality show stars, including Kendra Wilkinson's hubby Hank Baskett, Khloe Kardashian's man Lamar Odom, and Kim Kardashian's fiancé Kris Humphries. The couple could have had a disagreement over what they would do with their lives after getting married, or perhaps there's even another man or woman in the picture.
