Selena Gomez's ultimate role model is Academy Award-winning actress, United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, mother of six children, and life partner of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. The Monte Carlo actress has often gushed that she admires Jolie and "would be honored to be compared to her." But Selena's not the only one to idolize Angelina and to dream of "growing up" to be just like her. The former Disney child star's BFFs Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato feel exactly the same way.
Selena Gomez's fellow former Disney child actress, Miley Cyrus, recently told Ryan Seacrest that she dreams of being "the new Angelina Jolie." Miley wants to model her life on Jolie's largely because of the Salt star's tireless charity work. And she's made an effort to do exactly that. Several months ago, the Born In The U.S.A. songstress travelled to Haiti to help with the still ongoing earthquake relief effort. Furthermore, in terms of her personal style, Cyrus has been "sporting a ton of racy black leather ensembles on her Can't Be Tamed Tour." Sound familiar?
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez's other Disney BFF, Demi Lovato, revealed in a Teen Vogue interview last year: "I want to be able to play more serious parts. I think it would be awesome to play an Angelina Jolie-type role in an action movie." In a later radio interview, Demi reiterated that Angelina Jolie was one of her "biggest role models."
Wow. Looks like Selena Gomez is definitely in good company in her desire to follow in Angelina Jolie's footsteps. But that company is also stiff competition. The question is: Which of these three members of "young Hollywood royalty" is likely to achieve her dream of following in the footsteps of her idol?
So far, Selena Gomez seems to have the edge. Of the three, it is Gomez who most closely physically resembles Jolie. Although she has yet to appear in public in a black leather dress, that can be easily remedied. And though she lacks Cyrus' air of obvious sexual sophistication and Lovato's track record for triumphing over personal demons, she has one thing that they do not possess: Justin Bieber.
As one half of Jelena, Selena Gomez occupies a coveted position as part of the second most famous couple in the world. Yes, second only to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In fact, Justin and Selena have been called the Brad and Angie of their generation. From that enviable position of near-unprecedented media attention and power, Selena Gomez should be able to accomplish almost anything as long as she keep her wits about her. And as long as Jelena lasts.

I honestly love all three but Demi shouldn't need to be Angelina Jolie. I feel she is unique in what she does. It's good, we need something fresh to change the entertainment world and I feel she will give us that. A young music artist with creativity, it's a miracle! I'm NOT saying Selena and Miley don't have talent i'm just saying Demi is by far the most interesting vocally and career wise, but that's just me. Maybe it's the Demi/Timbaland collabo. See now that's impressive. Oh was Justin Bieber suppose to be brad? Lol?. . .The kid's alright, let's not exaggerate now.
That's just my opinion. I like them equally I just feel we need to give credit where is due. Selena, Miley and Demi don't stop we love you. You too Justin just keep improving <3.
Maybe one day they will fill the shoes of hollywoods A-list couple, maybe.
