Miley Cyrus or at least her tattoos were in the news again this week. The tattoos on her middle finger, two equal-length lines are supposed to be a symbol for equal marriage rights.
After getting the new ink, Miley Cyrus tweeted a photo out to her fans with the message "all LOVE is equal."
It did not take a tattoo on her finger though to be outspoken about the subject. She had also commented on the subject after the Casey Anthony verdict as well as sticking up for Perez Hilton after he got into an argument on the subject with Carrie Prejean, former Miss California.
Miley Cyrus can often be a lightning rod, but sticking herself in the middle of a debate that is as polarizing as equal rights for gay-marriage could lose her some fans, and gain her others. What is interesting for her is that she did not just use words, but she actually took action.
It is one thing say you support an idea, by words and not deeds. When she committed to getting tattoos on her finger, it is clear that she is 110% behind what she believes in. One cannot fault Miley Cyrus for that sort of commitment.
