You can all remember when Taylor Momsen quit acting in Gossip Girl last year, but the 18-year-old told Elle magazine this month that she has quit acting, period.
According to E! Online, Elle asked Momsen what other projects she had lined up. The actress, or ex-actress, replied very coolly that her thespian days are over.
"I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band, and that's pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life," Momsen said.
Wow, pretty confident there, aren't you, Tay? But of course, to a teen like Momsen, a few months of touring with her rock band Pretty Reckless must seem like an eternity.
"We're on tour forever, so that's really exciting. That's for the next couple of months, so we're pretty much on the road until at least 2012. And then it will continue!" gushed Momsen.
Frankly, who will be sad to see Momsen go? Those rock aficionados can have her. Word on the street is that she was a pain on the set of Gossip Girl, anyway.
The news that Taylor Momsen quit acting means that she'll have more time to focus on touring across the US. with gothic rock band Evanescence.
Hopefully, the star's newfound passion will be enough to support her exit from acting, or she'll surely be stuck with "I told you so" ringing in her ears.
