Russell Armstrong asked for Xanax before death

Just three days before his death, Russell Armstrong asked for Xanax.

As well noted in the news, Russell Armstrong was found dead in his LA home after hanging himself. According to many sources and media outlets, Armstrong was found without any drugs or alcohol present in the room; however, he may have been seeking and even using substances before his untimely death.

According to TMZ, Russell Armstrong asked a good friend, Russ McCullough, for Xanax after meeting him for dinner just three days before he died. Russ gave Amstrong one pill, hoping to help out his anxiety as he could not even afford to pay for dinner that night. However, when Armstrong called Russ later asking for an entire bottle, Russ refused knowing there was a possibility of substance abuse. Unfortunately, Russ (nor anyone else for that matter) thought Armstrong would turn to such extremes and therefore never asked him to seek help. Maybe he was not initially looking for death, maybe he really was only looking for a bit of anxiety relief.
