Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain called Paula Deen and her cooking "dangerous" in an interview with TV Guide. He also said her cooking stinks. Ouch!
To be more specific, Bourdain was quoted as saying Paula is "the worst, most dangerous person to America for her artery-clogging style of cooking," according to the NY Post. Yes, Paula Deen loves her butter, but she's not forcing people to cook her recipes. There are many people that not only cooking her recipes, but changing the ingredients to fit their own diets and lifestyle choices, too.
Bourdain went on:
She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she's proud of the fact that her food is f***ing bad for you... I would think twice before telling an already obese nation that it is OK to eat food that is killing us. Plus, her food sucks.
As a popular saying in the south goes, "them's fighting words!" Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you can't say anything nice, you shouldn't say anything at all? What about the "golden rule?" How would Bourdain feel if Paula Deen said his food sucked? "Does she even cook anymore?" Bourdain asked rhetorically.
His nasty quotes didn't stop there; the NY Post also quotes him as "I don't know why she bothers." Somebody sounds a little jealous.
Bourdain don't pick on Paula Deen and her food. Everyone deserves some old-fashioned southern comfort food every now and then without you jumping on their recipe. Plus, her aqua blue cooking pans on the market rock!

you cannot take away from her, the fact, that she worked herself and brought her sons and family along to a position of affluence and comfort AND brings much beauty to the cooking scene. Just the LOVE she conveys is enough to perk up ones' appetite.
And I like Paula as she is from my town. It is great to know that someone can come out of such pain and hard times and make it big. Her story is an inspiration to me. She does things to help women in this area overcome addictions, has fundraisers for GraceWay that helps get these women out of the addiction lifestyle. This is my goal with my business (help homeless women, those who are illiterate, single moms who may be completely dependant on welfare to live, etc).
Thank you for your comment.
