Regis Philbin's 80th Birthday Was on Thursday

Regis Philbin's 80th birthday was Thursday and the talk show legend received a lot of love and praise from his peers. Philbin has worked in the entertainment business for over 60 years now! Thirty of those years was spent hosting his talk show that went from Live with Regis and Kathy Lee to Live with Regis and Kelly.

Philbin initially started his career as a sidekick on The Joey Bishop Show. As time went on, he proved that he was more apt for hosting and having his own gig. Being a sidekick is great and all but seriously Batman has more fans than Robin. That's just the way the world works.

Regis Philbin's 80th birthday is a reminder that there are still legendary greats. Hollywood just doesn't have many stars comparable to Philbin or even Betty White, which is all the more reason to love him. Hopefully, Regis will be around for many more decades. Plus, he doesn't look a day over 65!
