Opposites attract, right? At least, that's what they say. So, it shouldn't be any surprise that typically clean-cut star Shia LaBeouf is hanging out with the scary rocker Marilyn Manson.
It's true. Apparently Shia LaBeouf has been a longtime fan of Marilyn Manson. Using the word "intriguing" to describe Manson is uncommon. Controversial, edgy, and crazy may have been better adjectives to use, but LaBeouf tells MTV News, "He's a big deal to me, and in my childhood, I don't know of a scarier figure in art. He, in my teenage years, was the scariest thing in the world, so part of me has always been intrigued."
The two met at a Kills concert and apparently hit it off well. So much so, that LaBeouf directed Manson's new music video, Born Villain. The two will be appearing together for a one-night special event in L.A. There will be a book signing of the Born Villain photo book (which is a very limited edition) which includes a disk of the video.
Despite the shock value which is Marilyn Manson, as an artist, his songs and videos often tell a deeper story. Will Born Villain be any different? Apparently not as the video is being called more of a short film.
Are you surprised that Shia LaBeouf is working with Marilyn Manson?
