Beyonce and Jay-Z are sure to have one of the most famous little kids this decade—so why not start them off early in the era of social media? After the 30-year-old superstar famously announced her pregnancy at MTV's Video Music Awards, several Twitter handles have already begun to surface.
It's not surprising that a fetus in utero is already garnering worldwide attention. Fans constantly hype the arrival of a celeb's bundle of joy. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been on pregnancy watch since they tied the knot in April 2008. Avery few months, rumors would surface about a possible pregnancy but they always turned out to be false. After three years of marriage, this baby is long overdue—at least in the court of public opinion.
After the well-publicized pregnancy announcement, over 8,000 tweets per second whizzed around the world; most tweets were likely sent before Beyonce even left the stage. The duo hid the pregnancy superbly (or was it her designer mother's clothing that helped to best conceal the growing baby bump?) as the rumors were largely kept at bay this time.
None of the handles out there is an official account—maybe Beyonce better start thinking of a Twitter handle quickly, before all the good names are taken!
