Most people still haven't mapped out their New Year's Eve celebrations, but Lady Gaga's plans are already set in stone. The singing sensation will be ringing in 2012 at Times Square in New York City. Lady Gaga will begin her performance shortly before the ball drops.
Ryan Seacrest will be hosting the 40th anniversary of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve." He announced the big news over the radio after speaking with Dick Clark. Ryan Seacrest sounded excited about the upcoming performance, and really, who can blame him?

The choice of performers for the Los Angeles edition of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2012," is a little more questionable. Lady Gaga's West Coast counterpart will be none other than Fergie. Given Fergie's history of atrocious live performances, this isn't anything to get excited about.
Although Fergie is a poor choice for an event headliner, Dick Clark still got it right on the New York side. The decision to shepherd Lady Gaga into the Big Apple's festivities proves that after 40 years on the air and endless competition from other broadcasts, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," is still hot stuff.
