Kirstie Alley lost a lot of weight during her season on DWTS and apparently learned some tricks for losing more because she just announced that she has lost an amazing 100 pounds! She got a chance to show her amazing new shape on the runway on Tuesday, according to Us. While the 60-year-old has been famous for her struggles with weight, she hasn't looked this good in years! Losing weight at that age is even harder than for younger men and women, so she deserves extra points there.
She also says before she was on
Dancing With The Stars, she bought a dress in every size between 14 and 4, with her goal being to fit into the size 4. Kirstie Alley is now able to wear that size 4 dress!
She also talks about her views on plastic surgery and men. Kirstie Alley says she doesn't plan to have any plastic surgery, because she thinks it makes people look weird. And about men? She said, "I think its fun to hookup every night for six months... Then it's time to move on!" So men shouldn't get their hopes up of dragging the newly svelte actress to the altar, but if they are just interested in having fun they might have a shot!

As for Hollywood and weight loss - there is a problem. Too many actors/actoresses are overly thin and it leads to the wrong image for teens (yes, young men struggle with anorexia and bulemia). There should be a focus on being healthy, not skinny. Some can be a size 12 and be healthy and others a size 2 and be deathly ill.
Everyone should focus on what is the right weight for them not on what the media portrays as glamourus and sexy.
This was me back at the end of March, I was 80mg of prednisone (hence the swollen face). At 164lbs and a size 8 dress. http://www.gather.com/viewImage.action?fileId=3096224746982840
And one thing I have found out from someone who used to be in retail, is that every 5 years sizing charts change and also clothing sizes can vary by manufacturer. There could be as much as 2 inches difference in materials in the same size. 20 years ago our current size 8 could be today's size 4, or vice versa.
I have 2 pair of black pants, exact same styling. One bought with a dress suit and the other separate. Only difference is manufacturer. One is A.N.A. and the other is Worthington (both from Penneys). I wore a 2 in one and a 6 in the other.
I am pretty much back to a size 6 now due to prednisone and several other health issues.
I don't care what size she is. I have barely seen anything she has been on except for Cheers. I never watched Dancing. Honestly, I barely turn on the TV (I watch the news, Food Net and HGTV). Now, I do get a lot of Disney Channel :) You can see who controls the remote around my house.
And another reason she could be a size "4" is that the manufacture uses a looser standard in cutting the clothes. Who know what is going on.
I do look fw to your posting too.
