Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Talk 'Vampire...

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder not only looked stunning on the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards red carpetÂ—she in glorious red and he in a traditional black tuxÂ—they also talked about their hit show, Vampire Diaries.

According to Celebuzz, the two divulged some fun and interesting details about the upcoming season of Vampire Diaries.

"You know, there is some cool stuff happening!" Ian said. "Stefan sort of flips a little bit. Damon's kind of not happy about that, he's in a bad place ultimately. But Damon and Elana have some great banter, I'm [excited for fans] to see that."

Not ready to let Nina Dobrev get a word in edgewise, he continued dishing about the show.

"They are like an old married couple it's great. Also, Damon's bromances this season are definitely awesome. There is some cool interaction with Klaus," Ian said. "We're lucky we have these cool characters to play, going in and out of the decades."

"We dive into the 20's which is one of my favorite decades. That and the 70's," Somerhalder explained. "In the 70's I want to see Damon at a Rolling Stones concert because you know he was partying with Mick [Jagger]!"

When Nina Dobrev finally got that little word in edgewise, it was on the subject of romance. So what did she spill for details about the upcoming season of Vampire Diaries?

"I'm excited for [fans] to see the relationship between Caroline and Tyler," Nina said. "They are bringing things up a notch."

Alas "up a notch" was all she managed to share. At that point it was time to move along down the red carpet line and prepare for the big event inside.
