Charice Pempengco announced that her single "New World" won't just be part of the theme song for Final Fantasy XIII-2, but it will also be on her new album Infinity. The star shared her emotional journey with the song during an interview on Japanese television.
Working with Square Enix, the entertainer recorded the track for their video game for users playing on Xbox 360 and PS3 units. Uploaded on all games sold outside of Japan, the vocal arrangement will be heard by millions of gamers. Charice fans who don't necessarily want to buy a video game can hear the single on her new album set for release in the weeks ahead.
"When I recorded the song, I was like, this is a great song. It's like you can really relate to it. Not only me, but all the people," said Charice sharing her personal feelings about "New World."
Bringing passion into her vocal performance, there isn't any doubt the entertainer will please fans. Grateful for the opportunity, Charice thanked everyone in the interview as she noted that the conditions for singing the song were a "beautiful atmosphere."
The album Infinity will hit shelves in Japan on October 5. No release date of the album for America is known.
