Leonardo DiCaprio is ready to propose to Blake Lively, according to new reports. But does he really want to get married?
Leo has always seemed more like a George Clooney type—he dates gorgeous women for a really long time and then dumps them when they start getting the wedding itch (a new STD created by the Clooneys of the world—Elisabetta Canalis definitely caught it).
Anyway, Blake might not have to pull an Elisbetta and start dropping hints to tabloids that she's the marrying kind, because Leo allegedly wants to propose to her very soon.
According to Star magazine (via Hollywood Life), Leonardo DiCaprio wants to get engaged to Blake Lively within the next few months. So maybe he wants to get engaged to her right before Oscar season rolls around—after all, he's definitely trying to win an Oscar this year with his movie, J. Edgar. In the Clint Eastwood-directed film, he plays J. Edgar Hoover, the founding director of the FBI. Hoover was long rumored to be gay, and that part of his life will definitely be touched on in the movie—Leo and Armie Hammer actually share a steamy kiss in one scene.
Gay rumors have dogged Leonardo DiCaprio throughout his career, even though he's dated some of the world's sexiest supermodels in Gisele Bündchen and Bar Refaeli. So perhaps he's afraid that all his hard work will be for naught, and all the gay rumors will really heat up after audiences see the kissing scene. So what better way to combat them than by getting engaged to Blake Lively around the same time J. Edgar comes out?
And, of course, a proposal would make the perfect publicity stunt and soften Leo's image as a hard-partying womanizer who refuses to grow up.
So what do you think—is Leo really ready to settle down and start a family, or will Blake end up going the way of Leo's other leggy ladies?
