A former LAPD officer is alleging he knows who killed legendary rappers Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls in an explosive new book.
Former detective Greg Kading alleges in "Murder Rap" that the LAPD "has been sitting on extensive tapes and documents containing confessions from key players behind the alleged assassinations of Shakur and Smalls." In the tapes, an informant named Keffe D claims Bad Boy head Diddy offered him $1 million to kill both Tupac and Death Row head Suge Knight.
"[Sean Combs] took me downstairs and he's like, 'Man, I want to get rid of them dudes.' ... I was like, 'We'll wipe their ass out, quick. It's nothing.' ... We wanted a million," Keffe D is quoted as saying in the book. (Keffe D is hardly a great witness -- according to "Murder Rap," he only talked about his involvement in Tupac's murder because he was facing a sentence of 25 years to life for his involvement in a nationwide PCP ring.)
There's no shortage of blame to go around. One of Suge's baby mamas -- who may end up in witness protection in the wake of her allegations -- claims that after Tupac's death, Suge ordered a "revenge hit" on Biggie. And Kading also slams the LAPD, claiming it covered up the involvement of corrupt cops in the Biggie murder before shutting the entire investigation down.
There have been many conspiracy theories surrounding Tupac Shakur's and Biggie Smalls' deaths over the years. This isn't the first time allegations of Diddy's and Suge Knight's involvement have come up: Filmmaker Nick Broomfield claimed in his 2002 documentary "Biggie & Tupac" that Suge ordered both killings, while the L.A. Times floated a theory about Diddy's involvement in 2008. Whether the LAPD intentionally covered up the evidence or is just guilty of incompetent bungling, the families of Tupac and Biggie deserve to see the killer(s) brought to justice after all these years.
What do you think? Could Diddy have ordered Tupac Shakur's killing? Will these cases ever be solved? And did you ever see "Biggie & Tupac" (trailer below)? Sound off in the comments!
