Kate Gosselin may be stressed about the cancellation of her TLC reality show, Kate Plus 8. Now, she's no doubt feeling even more pressure while planning a big "Kate-sized" celebration for her twins, Mady and Cara, who turn 11 today. Nevertheless, one of her twins, Mady, is obviously wise beyond her years and is keeping things in perspective for her mom.
Instead of focusing on her own birthday presents, Mady gave her mother a gift of her own. She wrote a short poem that is completely adorable and sweet. It is entitled "Love" and it is an acrostic. Pretty fancy for an 11-year-old! Each letter in the word "Love" spells out a special and meaningful sentence.
"L is for life. You gave me life / Ordinary things. You do ordinary everyday things for me./ Violin! Violin Buddies! / Endless love"
Not bad! "V" is a hard letter, but Mady handled it creatively and she even illustrated the poem's piece of paper with a few hand-drawn hearts. Kate Gosselin posted a photo of the poem on her new blog, "Kate + My 8: Official Site For All Things Kate Gosselin & Kids." Of course Kate Gosselin would have her own blog. After all, she seems to somewhat enjoy sharing her and her kids' life with the public, and she'll need to create her own buzz, especially now that she doesn't have a TV show to do it for her.
Nevertheless, it's interesting that she posted to the Internet such a personal poem from her daughter. Wonder if Mady knows that?! No matter, Kate Gosselin would have probably showed it off on Kate Plus 8, if that show was still filming. And viewers definitely would have seen all the good, the bad and the ugly from Mady and Cara's birthday party. Oh the drama!
