The Internet was buzzing Thursday morning with news that teen bride Courtney Stodden had lost her Facebook page when it was deemed too racy. It didn't take long for her page to be reinstated, and she even received an apology from the social network. Courtney's mom blamed "catty women" for causing the page to be shut down to begin with, once again making people wonder what in the world is the deal with this family.
Of course anyone familiar with Courtney Stodden's fame knows that she is 17 years old and recently married Prison Break star Doug Hutchison, who is decades older. Courtney is known for her extremely provocative look, which most parents would hesitate to encourage at her age. Of course most parents would also balk at consenting to their teen daughter marrying a much older man.
Regardless of the public's opinion of Courtney Stodden's overt sexuality, Facebook restored the page and issued a statement that said, "This page was removed in error and has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused." Courtney's mom, Krista Keller, told E!, "We're happy it was finally addressed... Maybe Facebook can look at the cyberbullying and do something more proactive about it."
So now Courtney Stodden can go back to posting racy, and most say inappropriate pictures on Facebook while her mom thinks that the biggest problem they have on their hands is "cyberbullying" of people reporting the page as inappropriate. While many question what talents this young girl has, one would have to count staying in the media spotlight as one of them. Do you think Courtney's public persona is over-the-top for her age?
