Former Bachelorette favorite Deanna Pappas wed Stephen Stagliano in a Southern-style fairytale wedding this past weekend in her home state of Georgia. The bride wore a stunning strapless gown by Alfred Angelo from the designer's Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Collection.
The bride chose the "Ariel" gown from the collection, along with a vintage-style birdcage veil for her wedding day. Deanna's husband, Stephen, and their groomsmen wore the Alfresco Tuxedo from JoS. A. Bank.
Prior to the wedding, groom Stephen blogged on the Alfred Angelo site, "Once we had the suit, I was surprised by my own excitement and desire to color coordinate and make the guys look as good as the girls. As such, my "crew and I" will be rocking burnt orange paisley ties found along with chocolate-colored shoes."
Alfred Angelo was clearly the designer of choice for the ladies: The bridesmaids wowed the crowd in burnt orange floor-length Alfred Angelo gowns (style 7017) that perfectly matched the groomesmen's ties. Of choosing her bridesmaids' dresses, Deanna said, "One issue that I think every bride considers when choosing her bridesmaid gowns is whether the dress will look great on all the bridesmaids...Every woman is a different shape and size. This is also true for myself and all of my bridesmaids. We considered that when choosing our bridesmaid gown."
It's no surprise Pappas chose the elegant designer for her big day; Deanna has been a guest blogger for the Alfred Angelo website's blog, Unveiled, since her engagement. Deanna was given a preview of the Alfred Angelo Disney Fairy Tale gowns before they were released to the public: "Not only was I lucky enough to see the new Disney line before it was released to the public, I was lucky enough to go straight to New York City for bridal fashion week to view the line with the press at the Alfred Angelo fashion show last October!" When she tried on the winning gown in July, Deanna exclaimed, "There were no more questions, this beautiful wedding gown, brand new from the Disney line, was the perfect match to go along with my fairy tale ending!"
To compliment her Georgia upbringing, Deanna and her 10 bridesmaids wore cowboy boots, and the reception boasted traditional Southern fare like fried chicken and mac and cheese. Stagliano and Pappas have been engaged since May 2010, and were introduced by fellow Bachelorette contestants (and Stephen's twin brother) Michael Stagliano and Holly Durst.
