Maksim Chmerkovskiy has been the center of attention this week after a tempestuous Monday night on DWTS. While he may be under fire by many for seeming to be arrogant and cocky, he has still managed to give some glimpse of his sense of humor via his Twitter page. Even as someone is insulting him, he can get his point across and still have a bit of fun doing it.
Wednesday one Twitter user posted a note saying, "@MaksimC You and your just as arrogant brother- @iamValC - need to go back to Russia!!" While Maksim Chmerkovskiy is referred to as Russian quite often, long-time fans know that is inaccurate. Maks and his family are from Ukraine, which of course many people lump in as being Russia, but that is not accurate.
When Maks got the tweet ripping on him and his brother, he retweeted it and added "---Once again...WRONG COUNTRY! LOL" Fans got a good laugh out of this one, because it shows that despite some stress and tension this week, he's still got his sense of humor.
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy fans are standing behind them, and they will be back on DWTS Monday night with a new performance. Will they be able to put together a solid routine that will please the judges? Will their fans put them through to another week? Despite what people think of his remarks on DWTS this past week, nobody can argue that he is passionate about the world of dance and the show Dancing With the Stars. Just don't call him Russian. This Ukrainian thinks it's a little old.
