Kris Jenner had been friends with Nicole Brown Simpson for years. So when she was murdered, this matriarch of the notorious Kardashian clan was most definitely heartbroken.
Not only that, but Kris Jenner believes she could "have saved Nicole Brown Simpson."
In a preview of her new memoir released exclusively to Radar Online on Sunday, Kris talks about the fateful day when her friend was killed.
By way of background (should you need this), Nicole was the ex-wife of OJ Simpson. She was discovered at her Brentwood, CA home in the Los Angeles area. She was dead, having been stabbed multiple times. Nicole's friend, Ron Goldman, was also found dead. This discovery was made at 10:50 pm on June 12, 1994.
So, with that in mind, why does Kris Jenner believe she could have saved Nicole Brown Simpson?
Jenner says that she was asked to meet with Nicole that morning of her death. Apparently, her friend had called Kris early that fateful day wanting to see her.
Kris wrote in her new book, "Nicole said, 'Can you get over here...? I need to talk to you. It's really important.'"
But Jenner was too busy, and so she asked if they could meet the next day instead. But that next day never happened for Nicole Brown Simpson. Imagine Kris Jenner's shock when she heard the news about her good friend and what had happened to her.
With that being said, perhaps the end of the story would have been different if the two women would have met. You never know. Kris Jenner will never know. But Nicole Brown Simpson is dead, and there is nothing anyone can do about that.
