Jessica Simpson has confirmed that she is pregnant and rumors that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey and his new wife, Vanessa Minnillo are expecting have surfaced. Despite the profound irony that would be, Nick and Vanessa are not having a baby.
"Normally she looks super slim, but Vanessa was wearing a dress that kind of poofed out around her stomach – it was very different for her," revealed a source, suggesting that Minnillo could have been concealing a bump. Her rep, however, debunked the story, telling Gossip Cop that Nick and Vanessa are not expecting.
It would have been interesting if both Jessica and her ex were expecting at the same time. While the couple don't seem to be on bad terms, it seems that they are in competition with one another, even if it's media-created. They both got engaged around the same time, so if they were both going to become first-time parents, well that would make sense, right?
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have talked about starting a family and seem excited to have a baby, but so far there has not been any news. They seem to be just enjoying their marriage right now.
