Justin Bieber took part in the concluding performance at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards last night in Belfast, Ireland. Bieber looked to be in usual polished form as he delighted the fans in attendance at the Odyssey Arena.
Bieber-mania has, apparently, traveled across the pond and perhaps the performance offered Justin a bit of a reprieve from the so far unsubstantiated rumors that he fathered a child with twenty-year-old Mariah Yeater.
Justin delivered stirring renditions of his recently released Christmas hit, "Mistletoe", from his new Christmas album, as well as the staple hit, "Never Say Never." While most bloggers and gossip columnists around the web have also been taking a similar "don't rule out the possibility" approach to the baby mama rumors, the fact that Bieber has stated that he is willing to take a full-blown paternity test, and Mariah Yeater has failed to come forward with any probative proof, makes it unfair for the seventeen-year-old Bieber's wholesome image to be unfairly tarnished.
In addition to the performance, Bieber was nominated in three categories at the 2011 MTV EMAs. He took home two awards for Best Male and Best Pop Act. Two out of three ain't bad, Justin.
Is there a bigger crossover global star in the world today? It is sometimes a bit difficult to believe and/or understand.
