Multiple reports now suggest that Katy Perry and Russell Brand's romance may be suffering from the overtasked schedules of both stars. While rumors are nothing new for the two lovebirds, who have been reported on the verge of breaking up ever since they began dating, this latest round of media scrutiny seems to possess more validity.
At the November 6 MTV EMAs in Belfast, Katy Perry walked the red carpet alone and celebrated her win without Russell Brand by her side. According to the Daily Mail, Brand was attending another event in Los Angeles on the same day—the opening of the Day of Champions at the Sports Museum of Los Angeles. More surprising than the fact that their schedules had an overlap that prevented mutual attendance of either event is the quieting of the couple on Twitter.
When Katy Perry and Russell Brand first married and throughout much of the spring of this year, frequent back and forth tweets dotted the streams of either star. Last night, Brand didn't even tweet a public congratulations to Perry via the service, though he did send out a link to kitty pictures earlier in the day.
Either the couple truly has decided to take their marriage more underground than before or a communication breakdown has occurred that makes casual conversation and the passing of quips more difficult. It could easily be either. Hopefully some down time and their early 2012 trip to India will get the couple, definitely one of the cutest pairs in show business, back on track if a real problem is present.
