Fans of Kate Gosselin know that she is training to run her first marathon, and she has less than a month of preparation left. She plans to run the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on December 4, and the organization is known for putting on great events. As she pushes herself through the final long runs before the tapering period, Kate is looking for inspiration and sharing motivational tips with her fans.
Tuesday, Kate Gosselin posted a tweet to @runnersworld, noting, "I'm running the las Vegas rock n roll marathon on Dec 4!Omg!I can't believe I'm doing it! Scared2death!0 prof training!EEK!" Though she's been nervous about running the marathon, she's also been pushing herself hard in training. Kate also posted a quote originally posted by Twitter user @RunningQuotes that said, "'You must risk to achieve. So,I risk.I choose not to sit on the sideline.' -Dr. Lisa Kelly 9/8/11" Running a marathon is a serious commitment, and many first-time runners look for inspiration anywhere they can get it to pump themselves up for the big race.
The Rock 'n' Roll series is a popular one for many runners, and The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert just competed in the Los Angeles Half Marathon not long ago. Will you be cheering Kate Gosselin on as she runs her first marathon? While she has plenty of people who dislike her, she also has over 60,000 Twitter followers. Love her or hate her, she continues to catch people's attention even without her show on TLC.

Honestly, I don't think there's anything great about Kate. At all. I have resisted writing about her in the past because I really don't like much about her, but I tried it out this past week or so as I'm working on expanding the breadth of celebrity/entertainment topics I write about, and people are just anxious to read about her. I try to write positive pieces in general because in other topics I've covered, I've watched a lot of rude, harsh, inaccurate things written about people who really hadn't done anything wrong. I may get snarky about some in the public eye, but you're right, I've not written negative things on Kate.
You've given me plenty to think about and I do understand your points. I appreciate you taking the time to come back and leave this comment, it was helpful without being nasty to me. Yesterday was just a day for commenters being annoyed with me or the topics I covered - one was simply "Stacy Carey is an idiot..." I don't mind people disagreeing with my approach, correcting me, or giving me other things to check into, it's just hard sometimes to understand where people are coming from without a bit more context. Your comment is helpful. Calling me simply an idiot without anything else isn't all that helpful.
That said, I'm always looking for new topics to cover - any suggestions for celebrity/entertainment/etc. where there are positive things to be said and you are anxious for more news? I am always open to trying out new ideas. I can't promise I won't write about Kate anymore, but I am very appreciative for your taking the time to give me a better understanding of your perspective and comments.
