Nancy Grace lost a lot more than the opportunity to win the mirror ball trophy during her time on Dancing With the Stars. In addition to losing that chance, she lost a total of 25 pounds from the workouts, rehearsals, and dance performances.
According to a report from People.com, the HLN talk show host and former DWTS contestant walked away 25 pounds lighter than when she first came to the show. And in the long run, that slimmer figure and healthier body will serve her far better than any mirror ball trophy could.
Grace gained most of her weight from her pregnancy with twins John David and Lucy, who are now four years old.
"I never really cared about it or bothered to lose it," she explains.
Her recent weight loss is making her feel pretty, healthy, younger, and even sexy.
"I lost 25 pounds that I know of," Nancy Grace, who is 52 years old, says.
Nancy Grace's father is a heart patient, so she fully understands the repercussions of carrying extra weight when there is that kind of history in her family. She plans to try to keep the weight off that she lost on DWTS, but hasn't quite figured out how she'll do that just yet.
"I'm not going to have a pro dancer eight hours a day, so I don't know what's going to happen," she says.
Grace did ask Anderson Cooper, on whose show she was being interviewed at the time, if he would like to serve as her personal dance pro to ensure she keeps her 25 pounds off her frame.
Cooper responded, saying he'd dance, but never on TV. "I also don't know how to do all those dances. I have no idea what the paso doble is," he added. "I can teach you!" Nancy Grace said.
And no doubt she could; Nancy Grace gave Dancing With the Stars her all. She learned some impressive dance moves and lost those stubborn 25 pounds. There is no way she didn't walk away a winner.
