You won't find pictures of Aishwarya Rai's new baby girl in any glossy newsstand magazines.
A source close to the Bachchan family says that while the actress has been getting offers from major international magazines for quite some time, she and her family aren't interested in selling pictures of the baby to any of them.
The same source reports that staff at Seven Hills Hospital, where Aishwarya Rai gave birth yesterday, have been banned from bringing any mobile devices onto the floor where she and her family are staying. This is to prevent any photos of Aishwarya's baby from being leaked to the press.
Aishwarya Rai's refusal to show off pictures of her new baby is very much in keeping with her character. Aishwarya is incredibly private and guarded and protects the details of her home life from the media. She declined interviews about her pregnancy and kept a low profile throughout its duration, making few public appearances and always dressing demurely when cameras were around.
While husband Abhisheck Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan are both avid Twitter users--both enthusiastically tweeted news of Aishwarya's delivery--Aishwarya herself has never appeared on the social networking service. In light of her very private nature it seems only fitting that she's refused what are surely very lucrative offers to pose for photos with her new daughter. That sort of cheap behavior is very much below the Bachchans.
