Is Katie Holmes standoff-ish and full-of-herself or is Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher just a grumpy rock star? After a backstage run-in between the two during a visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater to film Late Night with David Letterman, a case could be made for a little of both.
According to Noel Gallagher, Katie Holmes--a.k.a. Mrs. Tom Cruise--was a bit snooty when it came to a home video that one of Gallagher's Oasis band mates was filming of their visit to see David Letterman.
Gallagher took a swipe at Katie on his blog after one of Katie's people came up and demanded that they destroy the video!
We literally bumped into that top Scientologist Katie Holmes on the way into the studio. We came out of the lift and BANG, there she was...at this point my mate, and friend of the stars, Scully, was doing a bit of filming for my website and managed to capture the moment.
This seems like a normal thing, right? Fans of the band would love to see fun, exclusive backstage footage. Who knows whom the band might run into...and here it was they bumped into an A-list celebrity coming off the elevator. Everyone would find that pretty cool... everyone except one Katie Holmes.
There was no need to send one of her people over to demand the video be deleted!!!! Unf***in'-believable.
Funny that Noel Gallagher also ran into funny man, and banjo playing Steve Martin on the same visit. Their encounter was a bit more cordial.
Perhaps Katie Holmes could take a lesson from Martin and stop acting like being a star is some sort of burden, especially when a group like Oasis, which at one time was arguably one of the largest acts on the planet, wants to share a little fun footage with fans. Perhaps these same fans go to Ms. Holmes or Mr. Cruise's movies...or not.
