Courtney Love isn't especially known for being a law-abiding or classy person by any standards, but even this seems like a big deal for the troubled grunge rockin' mom. Apparently the frontwoman of Hole admitted to committing fraud in a bizarre backstage rant.
Sources reveal that Kurt Cobain's widow went on a tirade about Dave Grohl that just went on and on, and she pretty much admitted to credit card fraud in the process. Courtney Love was already reported to have gone off, on stage, on a fan at the concert in Brazil, who was holding up a photo of her deceased husband. Once backstage, it didn't end. She spilled all and then some to a reporter:
When people come to me and say, 'I love Nirvana.' I wasn't in Nirvana. However, I do own Nirvana ... with my daughter and because of tax laws I have to give money to his sister, Kim Cobain, and [Kurt's mother] Wendy Cobain.
What I was saying, is Dave [Grohl] makes $5 million a show, he doesn't need the money. His mother's a banker, his father's a stock broker and he's making $5 million a show. Why the f**k then does he have a Nivana Inc. credit card and I don't? And last week he bought an Aston Martin on it.
Sources report that Courtney Love found out all of this by calling the credit card company and fabricating Dave Grohl's death so she could find out what he'd been spending his money on lately. It seems that she's just a professional at stirring up drama and doing stupid things.
