Amitabh Bachchan has been so inundated with pleas and requests for photos of Aishwarya Rai's newborn daughter that he's had to put a firm foot down. He issued a terse statement on Twitter where he made it abundantly clear (yet again) that when it came to pictures of Aishwarya and Abhishek's baby, it's not happening.
"To those that clamor for baby's picture, I have said it before, it will not be happening .. do understand, its personal"
Poor Amitabh must be sick of fending off photo requests, but what can you expect when your family is the center of media attention in a nation of over a billion? Aishwarya Rai has hundreds of millions of fans all over the world, all of whom wished her well during her pregnancy and who have supported her career for over a decade. They likely feel justly owed at least a glimpse of Beti B.
To his credit, Amitabh (and Abhishek, who has his own vast Twitter fan base to contend with) has been nothing but gracious with his fans and with the media, politely explaining that the family would not be releasing any photos, nor would Aishwarya Rai be posing on any magazine covers with her daughter (despite quite a few offers).
The Bachchans are an incredibly private family, so don't expect Amitabh to have a sudden change of heart over the matter. It's likely that the first picture of Aishwarya's daughter that the world will see will come not from her doting family but from a nosy photographer.
